Millionarios and Colombianitos continue to score goals for a better life

Eleven boys and girls from the Fundación Colombianitos who are part of the 'Goles para una vida mejor' (Goals for a better life) program in Ciudad Bolívar, were invited by the Millonarios soccer team to accompany the players during the beginning of the semifinal match against Junior de Barranquilla, at the 'El Campin' stadium.

After two years of Bogota's blue team not having companions to accompany them before official matches , due to restrictions implemented during the pandemic, our little Colombians enjoyed an unforgettable experience on the city's highest soccer stage.

Between looks of excitement, smiles, astonishment and nervousness, the boys and girls accompanied each of the professional players of the 'Ambassador' team on their way out onto the pitch, prior to the game.

For Ashly Brigith Castañeda, one of our Colombian girls who was in the stadium, it was an incredible experience that she will never forget, "I was very nervous, seeing so many people, shouting, singing, was very exciting," she assured.

In the midst of more than 30,000 spectators who filled the stands, the children enjoyed the color and the festive atmosphere of a professional game, full of songs, flags and passion of the fans.

Jean Paul Roncancio was another little Colombian invited by Millonarios, who enjoyed the day from beginning to end, “I had never been on such a big pitch and with so many fans, I was very excited to meet the players, because one of my dreams is to become a soccer player. ”, he expressed.

The invitation is given thanks to the alliance that the Colombianitos Foundation has with Millonarios FC, to support the 'Goals for a better life' program that takes place in the town of Ciudad Bolívar, in the Illimaní Park and in the Guabal sector, improving living conditions and training more than 300 minors with limited resources through sports.

Thanks to this project we are transforming communities in these areas and demonstrating that our program is one of the best options to promote peaceful coexistence and the building of peace.
