Luisa Fernanda Ariza was born in 1998 and lives in the town of Ciudad Bolivar at the south of Bogotá. She joined the foundation in 2006. Since then she has been an active member of the foundation, and at the age of 16, she became a “Joven Agente De Cambio” (JAC) (young agents of change) and is currently studying her ninth semester of System and Communications Engineering at the Sergio Arboleda University in Bogotá.
When she turned 15 years old, a Colombianitos donor promised that if she continued with a good academic performance, she would pay for her to go to college, and so it happened. Luisa maintained an excellent GPA in school and in addition to this, she obtained one of the best scores in the ICFES tests and that is how she managed to enter university.
One of her aspirations is to continue helping people in the community and as a way of showing gratitude, she wants to give something related to her career to the foundation, such as a virtual platform.
In the future, she wants to help many children and continue the help chain as the foundation did with her. On a professional level, she would like to work independently and create her own company.
For Luisa soccer is an opportunity to change lives, she believes that this sport gave her very powerful life lessons, through training at Colombianitos she developed her leadership and other skills that she did not receive at her school, Luisa says that playing soccer helped her become a woman of integrity.
