Tocancipá, Puerto Tejada y Barbosa – Kimberly Clark

15 years ago we started a great alliance with Kimberly Clark Colombia, its purpose was to transform the future of children and young adults using sports and recreational-pedagogical activities as a tool for social development in regions of the country where the KCC operates.

The project with Kimberly took place in the municipality of Puerto Tejada, Cauca, then in 2006 we went to Barbosa, Antioquia and in 2013 thanks to the success of our involvement, we completed our operations in the three regions under the KCC influence, we inaugurated the center of Toncancipá, Cundinamarce, which has given us the trajectory to benefit around 20,000 boys, girls and young adults. 

 During this time we have implemented various curriculums according to the needs of the communities and Kimberly’s social responsibility goals.

With the program “Estamos Dejando Huella” (We are leaving a mark) we have developed methods about gender equity and environmental sustainability in six educational institutions from these municipalities, benefiting 1.852 students, 47 teachers, and 106 parents.

From the beginning, the project has wanted to create environmental leaders that can identify the problems of their community and come up with alternatives to mitigate those needs. such as installing ecological points in educational institutions and implementing recycling and waste reuse campaigns.

With the curriculum “Jugamos en la Misma Cancha” (We play in the same field), we use sports and education to teach our children in gender equity, benefiting 851 students in between the sixth and ninth grade, as well as families and members of the educational community.
