Our Colombianitos of the Guabal sector in Ciudad Bolívar, were visited by Emilio Archila, Major consultant to the President for the Stabilization and Consolidation of the National Government, who experienced up close the "Goles para una vida mejor" (Goals for a better life) program, in which we form young boys, girls and individuals of different areas in aspects of coexistence and peace.
On a sunny morning, the Major consultant arrived at the Guabanal sector's pitch, where he participated in our athletic and educational activities which uses sports as a way to promote environments free of violence, making the most out of free time, conflict resolution and fortification of the social fabric in the communities.
In the midst of smiles and fun moments, our beneficiaries shared their experiences with Archila, who with great enthusiasm participated in every activity.
The day also consisted of discussion session in which Archila listened to the different stories and experiences of fathers and mothers whose families have been beneficiaries of the different programs of the Foundation.
The visit falls in the scope of the alliance that Colombianitos maintains with the Territorial Renovation Agency (ARN), en entity that is a part of the Presidential Counsel for the Stabilization and Consolidation.
" The work with Colombianitos is another step for the children of Colombia, no only in Bogotá, but also un the regions in which we are working with families in the reincorporation process", signaled the Major consultant.
Goles para una vida mejor in the former ETCR
Since December 2021, the Project 'Goles para una vida mejor' arrived at the former territorial spaces of Training and Reincorporation (ETCR) El Estrecho, Cauca and La Variante, Tumaco, to work, through sports, in two components of the National Government's Reincorporations Route: Community and Family.
Around 250 people benefit from the project, that uses soccer as a tool to create and develop different abilities for life, like empathy, teamwork, assertive communication and conflict resolution within boys, girls, teenagers and young individuals whose families signed the peace accords of the former FARC and the host communities.
" With athletic, education and cultural meeting we foster the participation of families in the process of reincorporation and the host communities, strengthening the social fabric, healthy coexisting, the familial bond and making the most out of free time" explained Gladys Sanmiguel, executive director of the Colombianitos Foundation.
'Goles para una vida mejor' is aligned with the 'Paz con legalidad' (Peace with legality) policy of the National Government; respecting and recognizing the rights of the human person, focusing on gender and race equality in those territories, and encouraging the coexistence and reconciliation, reducing stigmas and promoting action in order to benefit communities.
