Since 2018 the Fundación Colombianitos has been committed to the importance of gender equality not only as a right but as a fundamental condition for a world that is fair, equal, and peaceful. This mindset has built the curriculum “Jugamos en la Misma Cancha” (We play in the same field), sponsored by Laureus Sport for Good, a global organization that celebrates excellence in sports and uses its power to impact the world.

This way, “Jugamos En la Misma Cancha” (We play in the same field) emerged, which integrates a rigorous and conceptually supported methodology, using rugby with pedagogical intentionality as a powerful tool to break stereotypes and gender roles, promote autonomy, strengthen self-esteem and self-concept, promote the use of non-sexist language, increase the conflict resolution based on new masculinities, foment empathy, cooperation, and prevent gender-based violence.

Thus, 2896 children, young adults, teachers, fathers, and mothers have benefited from this project in its face-to-face and virtual modalities in the communities of Puerto Tejada (Cauca), Barbosa (Antioquía), and Bogotá.
